Ecology and Sustainable Water Management
Human societies require a constant supply of clean water to survive and environmental guidelines are designed to protect critically important aquatic ecosystems.  This course examines the beneficial functions provided by different aquatic ecosystems and explores the science behind environmental guidelines designed to protect and manage these ecosystems and water resources.  Learn how environmental science informs the development of guidelines for sustainable ecosystem management and exposes the myth that environmental protection is an unaffordable luxury during tough economic times.
