After graduating, Matt went on to do just that – first, as a Presidential Management Fellowship recipient with the U.S. Department of Energy, and then as a researcher of climate adaptation governance on the island of Mauritius through the U.S. Fulbright Program. Currently, Matt is the Director of the Mayor’s Office of Sustainability for the City of Cleveland, where he helps to green the City’s municipal operations and convenes the larger community through the Sustainable Cleveland Initiative.]]></description>

Working on this project gave Pablo an appreciation of how poverty and development issues were closely linked to issues of environmental degradation.  Pablo chose to the MPA-ESP program because he felt that the curriculum’s emphasis on both the science and public policy would better prepare him to tackle poverty alleviation within a framework of environmental sustainability. ]]></description>

Now, as the Project Manager for the Nigeria Scale-Up Initiative at Columbia’s Earth Institute, she is doing just that.  Caroline cites the program’s formal training in financial management and presentation development, as well as informal education from an international cohort, as informing her current work at the Earth Institute. ]]></description>

Prior to joining the program, Frank earned a culinary arts degree from the Culinary Institute of America, and worked as a chef in several restaurants throughout Manhattan including Café Boulud, Gramercy Tavern, and Robbins Wolfe Eventeurs. Frank chose the MPA-ESP program because of its New York City location and one-year commitment. ]]></description>
