Audra Stark plans to pedal 300 miles from New York City to Washington, D.C., from Sept. 20-24 to raise money for The Earth Institute and other organizations working on the issues of climate, environment and transportation. “Too often I’ve found myself and others complaining about and debating an issue without taking action in our daily lives,” she said. “Joining Climate Ride is one more way I can act on my lifelong concern about climate change, and take a further step on my personal road to a low carbon footprint.”

Columbia and Earth Institute alumni JD Capuano will be navigating a 300-mile bicycle ride between New York City and Washington, D.C., from Sept. 20-24 to support Climate Ride, the national bike ride to raise charitable donations for and awareness about climate change, cycling, and environmental causes.
Katy Mixter will ride with “Mr. Shark” on her handlebars, the result of a $75 donation from her boss. Pamela Quinlan is joining the 300-mile Climate Ride to mark her 30th birthday. Jennifer Hurford will ride beside her mother.
MSSM alums JD Capuano, Eileen Quigley, and Ryan Meinke have gone on to make businesses more sustainable, adaptive and innovative through their work as consultants. This September, the group will take their passion for sustainability one step further when they ride 320 miles from New York City to Washington, D.C. to raise awareness and support for the Earth Institute.
