Part-Time Summer Internship in the Undergraduate Program

Description:  The Earth Institute is seeking an intern to work with the Undergraduate Program in Sustainable Development for the month of August. The program, which consists of a major and a special concentration, benefits from the pioneering work of Earth Institute faculty and researchers in the field of sustainable development. This position is a unique opportunity to help support our cutting-edge educational program at Columbia University. We are looking for someone to help with the overall program administration and assist with special projects related to the Earth Institute’s student programs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: updating website and program materials, program communications, social media content generation, drafting and editing articles/profiles, and event planning/staffing,

Skills required: Strong writing, editing and communications skills; strong Microsoft Office Suite skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments; experience with Twitter, Facebook and blogging as well as other social media is a plus; must have highly professional email and telephone conduct.

Type of student desired: Undergraduate. Note that students in the Undergraduate Program in Sustainable Development are ineligible.

Compensation: $15/hour, 10-15 hours a week
