Tell the World Your Columbia Sustainability Story
Win a private tour of the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory. Have a great Columbia sustainability story to tell? ColumbiaYOU is a story-sharing platform that celebrates the rich and diverse Columbia community—in other words, YOU. We’re inviting you—students, alumni, faculty and researchers—to share your sustainability story just in time for Earth Day, April 22. We want the stories that mean the most to you: perhaps an innovative project, a special research experience, or a bond forged with faculty or friends. You may submit your story using a video or an audio clip of no more than 90 seconds, a photo slide show, or a written narrative of 500 words.
To enter the competition:
Submit your story to the site: https://you.columbia.edu/add-your-story/. Please include “Sustainability” in the title so it can be tracked for consideration. The winning story will be selected based on the greatest number of unique visitors to the story page. Winners will be shared with the wider Columbia community and featured in our Columbia-wide communications.
You can also have your story recorded for you on the Morningside Campus by signing up for one of the pop-up recording sessions scheduled at the SIPA studio in March and April. The links to sign up are below:

The person who tells the best story will win a private tour of the Earth Institute’s Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory and meet one of its scientists working on climate change. Any winner who is affiliated with the observatory will instead receive a $250 honorarium. The deadline for submissions is April 20. We look forward to adding you to the story of Columbia.
