A Special Project, and a Chance to Double Your Impact

Donor and Partner news graphic

As 2015 comes to a close, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to the Earth Institute’s many partners, friends and supporters who help make our work possible. In honor of the final year of the Millennium Development Goals and the transition to the Sustainable Development Goals, we would like to highlight one partner in particular: Jenn Stengaard Gross, the founder of the Blue Chip Foundation.

The Blue Chip Foundation, launched in 2015, is focused on making an impact in the area of sustainable development and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. In collaboration with the Earth Institute and VII Photo, The Blue Chip Foundation is engaged in creating a multimedia documentary outlining the success of the Millennium Villages Project as it draws to a close in its 10th year. Over the past year, Jenn and several members of VII Photo traveled to Ethiopia, Rwanda, Ghana and Senegal to visit the Millennium Villages, where they met with villagers and Earth Institute staff to learn firsthand how our work has impacted their lives.

Their conversations with farmers, community health workers, teachers, students and families will be compiled in a book, accompanied by some of Jenn’s compelling and splendid photographs. Due to be released in the fall of 2016 with accompanying photography exhibitions in New York City and around the world, proceeds from the book’s sales will be donated to the Earth Institute.

Stay tuned for more information on this fantastic collaboration with Jenn Stengaard Gross, the Blue Chip Foundation, VII Photo and the Earth Institute in the New Year.

With gratitude,
The Earth Institute

P.S. — We are also pleased to announce that one donor who makes a gift by the end of the year will be randomly selected to receive a complimentary copy of the Millennium Villages photo book. So make sure you get your donations in before Dec. 31 to be eligible. And don’t forget that all donations through 11:59 p.m. on Dec, 31, 2015, will be matched dollar for dollar, so now you have two reasons to give.
