Are you curious about environmental sustainability in a global context? Want to earn course credit while traveling the world this summer? Take advantage of The Summer Ecosystem Experiences for Undergraduates program (SEE-U) offered through The Earth Institute Center for Environmental Sustainability! Through summer field courses in Brazil, India, or Jordan, you will have the unique opportunity to conduct environmental fieldwork while learning firsthand about contemporary challenges in sustainable development.

Coursework emphasizes introductory concepts in ecology and conservation biology, supplemented with hands on fieldwork in-country. Classes are held Monday through Saturday, with morning lecture followed by afternoon fieldwork. The memories you make here will last a lifetime. In the words of one student:

“One afternoon towards the end of the trip, we all climbed into the backs of a few pickup trucks and rode out into the desert of Wadi Rum. 5 hours or so later, I had seen miles of unbelievable desert landscape, visited the home of Lawrence of Arabia, identified several bird species, seen ancient rock drawings, scaled the side of a mountain, and sat watching the most incredible sunset I’ve ever seen while the scent of the lamb we would eat for dinner floated up from the Bedouin camp below.
