As a fellow attendee, I’d just like to back Julia’s statement that there were clearly more than 500 people in attendance. An assumption cannot be based on one mere photograph.

A global problem of epic proportions, we need to concentrate more on educating poorer nations to fend for themselves, after all, that old saying “Give a man a fish, and feed him for a day”
“Teach a man to fish, and feed him for life” could never be more pertinent. Just baling out countries with temporary supplies doesn’t help long term, we need to help them become self sufficient, in times of drought.

Sounds like a worthwhile event. But 500 people attended? Looks like around 100 people in the photo with a bunch of empty chairs in the front. Projects that run on hype vs. substance always seem less fulfilling.
