		<description><![CDATA[one needs to monitor the slopes along the lakes and along the hillsides for soil moisture = pore pressure. As the slope gets saturated or the pressure increases failure can be induced. One can detect this situation and issue a warning.

Additionally, one can work on draining the glacial lakes to a lower level in a systematic and smooth way. One option I am looking into is the use of a siphon, which would require some energy to prime the siphon but no sustained energy source to drain the lake.]]></description>
