I am not convinced yet of any sincerity of national and world leaders to set the system in right mode. The last 40 years shows a blatant track record of pure disregard for civilized, peaceful and harmonious living due to the socio-economic and political structures in place. All excellent points, but one reason for action in 2009 is for the international negotiations in the next Conference of Parties. December 2009 in Copenhagen is an important opportunity for the US to show leadership. Do you think that is justification for trying to move faster?
